Looking for a Google document signer? You can use Free Document Signer with a PDF exported from Google Docs. This is an independent web app, not a Google product, Google Docs add-on or Google Drive integration. It does not change the original Google document.
1. Download your Google document as a PDF
On your computer, open the document in Google Docs. Choose File → Download → PDF Document (.pdf) and save it to your device. You need permission to download the file; if the owner has restricted downloads, ask them for an authorised copy.

2. Open the PDF in the document signer
Create an account and verify your email, or sign in if you already have one. Your first seven exports are free once per verified email. Open the PDF in the editor and check that the exported layout, page breaks and text look right.
3. Add your signature and any required details
Draw or type your signature, or upload a signature image. Place it on the correct page, resize it, and add initials, text or a date as needed. Review every page before downloading. Our PDF signing walkthrough explains the editor controls.
4. Download the signed PDF
Confirm the signing terms in the editor, then download your completed PDF. We add no visible watermark or promotional footer to the signed copy. One new export uses one credit. After your free exports, one-time credit packs start at $1 for five credits. Save the download before closing the tab.
Can I put the signed copy back in Google Drive?
You can upload the downloaded PDF to your own Drive manually if you want to keep it there. Free Document Signer does not access your Google account, sync files or send signature requests to other people.
Where is the PDF processed?
Signing and downloading happen locally in your browser. If you separately choose “Email me a copy” and consent, the signed PDF passes through our server infrastructure and Brevo for delivery to your verified email. We do not intentionally persist it to a document database or storage. Receiving email services may retain the email under their policies. Read the privacy policy for details.
Does this create a certificate-based digital signature?
No. The tool adds a visible electronic signature to your PDF. It does not verify your identity, issue a digital certificate or notarise the document. Check your recipient’s requirements and our terms of use before deciding whether this method is suitable.
