# Free Document Signer

> Free Document Signer is a browser-based, solo-signer PDF tool for adding visible electronic signatures and downloading signed PDFs without an added watermark. It works without installing Adobe Acrobat or another desktop signing app.

An account and email verification are required. Each verified email receives seven free document exports once, with no credit card required for that allowance. One new export uses one credit, regardless of the number of pages or placed signatures. Additional credits are one-time purchases: US$1 for 5, US$3 for 20, or US$5 for 50. Credits do not expire and there is no subscription. Free Document Signer adds no watermark, logo or promotional footer to free or paid exports; it does not remove existing watermarks.

Users can draw, type or upload a signature and add signatures, initials, text and dates. Typed fields offer handwriting and document-style fonts, including Caveat, Allura and Dancing Script. Fields can be moved, resized and rotated. The tool accepts PDFs up to 50 MB and 200 pages. Export Word or Google Docs documents to PDF first.

Normal PDF signing and downloading take place locally in the browser. Unsaved work is lost when the tab is closed or refreshed. Only if the user explicitly chooses Email me a copy and consents does the completed PDF pass through the application's server infrastructure and Brevo to the user's verified account email. The application does not intentionally persist that PDF to its database or document storage; email services may process or retain the email and attachment under their own policies. This is a visible electronic-signature tool, not a certificate-based digital-signature service. It does not provide multi-party signing workflows, recipient identity verification, notarisation, certified audit trails or redaction. Check the recipient's requirements before signing. Password-protected PDFs, detected signature fields and dynamic XFA forms are not supported.
